Hyeri Wins First Popular Star Award at 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards

Hyeri won the Popular Star Award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards on July 18, the first popularity prize of her career. The ceremony took place at Incheon’s Paradise City, with Girls’ Generation’s YoonA and Jun Hyun Moo returning as hosts for the fourth year in a row. She shared the Popular Star Award with IU, Lee Jun Hyuk, and Park Bo Gum.

Launched by Sports Chosun in 2022, the Blue Dragon Series Awards honor dramas and variety shows from streaming platforms rather than TV networks. Hyeri’s nominated work this year was Friendly Rivalry, a teen mystery thriller she led on U+ Mobile TV from February 10 to March 6, 2025. She played Yoo Jae-yi, a top student with a perfect CSAT score, and earned a nomination for Best Actress at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards for the role.

The night carried a Reply 1988 echo. Park Bo Gum, who starred opposite Hyeri in the 2015 tvN drama, was among the fellow Popular Star winners, and the Chosun Ilbo tied her win back to that series. Reacting to the award, Hyeri said she was “so thrilled.”
